Ian MacDonald, JD Irving Limited, Senior Director Analytics
Ian MacDonald leads enterprise data and analytics at JD Irving, a privately held Canadian industrial conglomerate with industry leading positions in Forestry Products, tissue manufacturing, food production, shipbuilding and logistics. In this capacity he is responsible for enterprise data architecture, data engineering, data governance and advanced analytics.
Prior to joining JDI, Ian led analytics at Rogers Communications and Sun Life Canada, and was a Principal at Booz & Co (formerly Booz Allen Hamilton) in New York. Ian was a Fellow of the MIT Leaders for Global Operations program, where he attained an MBA and a Master’s of Engineering degree. He also holds undergraduate degrees in Engineering (Waterloo) and Mathematics (Mount Allison University).
