Nachiket Mehta, Head of Data and Analytics Engineering, Supply Chain, Wayfair
Nachiket Mehta is the Head of Data and Analytics Engineering for Global Operations at Wayfair (NYSE: W), one of the world’s largest home retailers with over $12 billion in net revenue, serving more than 22 million active customers from a marketplace of over 30 million products powered by 20,000+ suppliers.
He and his teams drive data-driven decision-making for end-to-end supply chain, customer service, finance, talent, and enterprise technologies at Wayfair. Before joining Wayfair, Mr. Mehta was a co-founder and CTO of a FoodTech startup marketplace that connected home-based chefs with food enthusiasts. Prior to that, he led data teams at Quaero from 2010 to 2019, when the company was acquired by CSG International. Quaero provided turnkey customer data platform (CDP) solutions and services to large enterprises.
Nachiket also serves as an advisor and investor to many startups, leveraging his extensive entrepreneurship experience with multiple startups that went through acquisitions and spin-offs. He is a review board member of the longest-running data leadership conference, the CDOIQ Symposium. During his 20+ years in data, analytics, and software engineering, he has helped many large enterprises with their digital transformation journeys, including ADP, American Express, Bank of America, Bayer, Comcast, Disney/ESPN, J&J, Keurig Dr. Pepper, Pfizer, Quintiles/IQVIA, and Under Armour.
He is an active voice in data and AI, frequently speaking at data, AI, and industry-specific conferences and events. He is passionate about transforming disconnected data into energized assets for powerful business decisions. Having witnessed the evolution of data from traditional database systems to big/distributed data in the cloud for enterprises, he is currently energized about implementing the Data Mesh strategy with systematic data contracts and enabling AI/ML with solid platform foundations.
Nachiket holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University, a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from India, and is finishing his MBA from Purdue University. He serves as a Guest Lecturer at his alma mater, Northeastern University, and volunteers for opportunities to give back to the community.
