Abhik is a Senior Analytics Managing Consultant and Data Scientist with 12 years of experience in designing and implementing scalable data solutions for organizations across various industries. Throughout his career, he has developed a strong understanding of AI/ML, Cloud computing, database management systems, data modeling, ETL processes, and Big Data Technologies. His expertise lies in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to drive data-driven decision making in in longitudinal pharmacy and medical claims and wholesale drug distribution areas.
Abhik’s technical skills encompass a wide range of areas, including architecting cloud solutions, business intelligence, data visualization, machine learning algorithms, probability and statistics, data analysis, data warehousing, data quality, linear algebra, cloud computing, big data, data governance, and relational databases. Abhik has hands-on experience with languages such as Python, R, SQL, UNIX, and DAX, as well as packages like Scikit-Learn, Pandas, SciPy, NumPy, Matplotlib, XGBoost, NLTK, ggplot2, dplyr, and tidy verse. In addition, he has worked with tools and technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, IBM Watson, Microsoft PowerBI, Jupyter Notebook, GIT, Tensor, Pytorch, MySQL, SAP BusinessObjects, IBM DB2, SAP HANA, Hadoop, and Microsoft Excel.
Abhik has completed my MS in Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, GA, USA, from August 2020 to December 2022. Prior to that, he obtained a B. Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, WB, India, from August 2007 to May 2011. He has been certified as IBM DB2 database developer, SAP BusinessObjects BI tools developer and Google Cloud professional Data engineer.
In his current role as a Senior Analytics Managing Consultant at IBM Corporation, USA, since August 2022, Abhik has been responsible for designing and implementing scalable data architecture solutions for Healthcare and Pharma clients. He has also played a key role in architecting, building, and managing Legal and compliance data platforms using the Google Cloud Platform. Additionally, he has led the investigation and adaptation of beneficial data architecture technologies and tools, as well as the development and implementation of an Enterprise Data Model and strategy for Operational Data Stores.
Previously, as a Senior Data Scientist at IBM, USA, from September 2021 to August 2022, Abhik leveraged Python to clean and analyze raw data for predicting opioid prescribers based on wholesale drug distribution patient data. He also conducted market basket analysis and association rule mining on a large customer dataset using R and Tableau. Moreover,he performed exploratory data analysis, developed machine learning models for predicting employee churn rate, conducted customer segmentation analysis, and performed time series analysis for predicting stock prices.
Before that, as a Lead Business Intelligence Engineer at IBM, USA, from July 2019 to August 2021, Abhik created scalable data models, built efficient ETL pipelines, developed regression and classification models using BigQuery ML, and designed Tensor-based machine learning models in VertexAI. Abhik also played a significant role in deploying inventory optimization applications and creating dashboards in PowerBI.
During his time as a Business Intelligence Analyst at IBM, from March 2012 to July 2018, Abhik implemented analytical reports across the supply chain spectrum using SAP BusinessObjects BI reporting tools. Abhik also worked on building reports, universes, and utilized SQL, data warehousing programs, Tableau, and other visualization tools for data intelligence.
